Here are the three most important things that you need to remember before your bride speech.

1. The bride speech should clearly lay out all of the people that you need to thank on a sheet of paper. The bride wedding speech is largely a speech of gratitude rather than humor, interesting stories or deep reflections on love.

The bride should thank:

a) the previous speaker (usually the father of the bride) who just toasted the married couple
b) thank the guests for attending the wedding and for their generous gifts
c) groom’s parent’s for welcoming you into their family. Even if you have not been warmly welcomed by her family you should still express some gratitude to his family out of courtesy
d) the bride should then thank her own parents. Pick one or two things that you’re especially grateful for. For example, in most bride wedding speeches that I’ve read, the bride will thank the parents for financial support through school
e) thank people who were of assistance in the preparations for the wedding ceremony and reception. This might include an aunt or a bridesmaid who was exceptionally helpful

2. The bride should then say a few words about the groom. It is important to remember to face the groom while you compliment him. In other words, during the rest of the speech you will mainly be making eye contact with the audience. However, when you compliment the groom you need to turn your body to make eye contact with him.

3. Since you’re going to have a lot of emotions and nervousness on your wedding day it is important to calm your nerves before your speech. First of all, the bride should be aware that the bride speech is usually considered to be the easiest speech of the evening. Why? If you look at the six or seven people that you need to thank in only five or six minutes the speech is really just an expression of gratitude. There is little room for creativity and subsequently little room for error.

However, the one part of the speech that some brides find difficult is to compliment the groom and express your love in front of so many people. This is the part of the speech that you should practice over and over again.
Nervousness is directly related to how well prepared you are. For a bride wedding speech you should rehearse compliments for the bride about ten times in order to memorize your lines. It will not look sincere if you have to read a piece of paper in order to tell the bride how handsome he is.

If you want to read a sample groom wedding speech you can kick-start some fresh ideas about how easy and enjoyable the speech can actually be.
