Father Wedding Speech

If your daughter is getting ready to get married and you are preparing for your speech, then you most likely have been wondering how you will be attacking this. Some fathers will be able to get emotional and will show this side but others will simply be thinking of the best father of the bride jokes. Most of the jokes have now been used and so it can be very tough to think of newer jokes. However, here are some tips that you can keep in mind when you are trying to come up with the best father of the bride jokes.

Most father of the bride jokes will start off with a funny threat to the groom regarding how he will need to take care of his daughter. This is a very common joke but you can always try and switch this joke around. You can really take this joke wherever you want and it is up to you to get creative. By simply switching it up and jokingly talking about he will be having a tough time with his a daughter is a funny way to start the speech.

You really don’t need to be a comedian to entertain the guests with your speech. A light and simple joke may do. Keep in mind that, even if you are the father of the bride you still need to be very carefull with your words. Jokes are good, but make sure that it is not offensive. Guests may have different perception in life, to avoid any conflict or issue it is suggested to stick on the simple speech that everyone can relate.

The speech should be short and sweet with very little pauses as you don’t want the guests to get bored. However, if you are having a tough time with creating a speech on your own, you will be able to use a bunch of already made speeches out there. These are proven to work and will certainly have the crowd laughing. Remember that this is your daughter’s wedding and so it is important that you make it memorable by making a speech that she will never forget. This is why you should never be scared to ask for help and to make sure that you have the best possible material that you can get.
